EPR Producers

• Producer Registration with CPCB/SPCB

  • Producers, importers, and brand owners (PIBOs) must register on the Central or State Pollution Control Board portal.

• EPR Plan Submission

  • Submit an EPR action plan detailing how e-waste will be collected, recycled, or refurbished, including targets and partner details.

• Partnership with Authorized Recyclers

  • Collaborate with certified e-waste recyclers or PROs (Producer Responsibility Organizations) for waste collection and processing.

• Collection & Reverse Logistics Setup

  • Set up a take-back system or reverse logistics for collecting end-of-life products from consumers or the market.

• E-Waste Handling & Processing

  • E-waste is dismantled, segregated, and sent for recycling or recovery using environmentally sound methods.

• Documentation & Record Keeping

  • Maintain records of collected, processed, and recycled materials, along with certificates from authorized recyclers.

• Quarterly/Annual Reporting

  • Submit reports to the CPCB/SPCB detailing compliance with EPR targets and waste handling activities.

• EPR Certificate Generation

  • Obtain EPR certificates from authorized recyclers for the amount of waste recycled, which is used to meet official targets.
